Motor Sports in Australia and Internationally has enjoyed enourmous popularity in the 21 st Century. Millions of dollars and countless manhours are spent every season bringing various forms of Motor Sports to audiences hungry to experience the spectacle of man and machine pushing the performance envelope. These audiences attend the numerous race meetings with unbridled passion and enthusiasm to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars and manufacturers in an environment that precludes no one demographic. Motor Sports can be viewed on TV, watched trackside, listened too, and participated in by all ages and does not discriminate between sexes.

Team AVRR has been created to unite race fans eager for a "piece of the action". Clearly the costs and commitment necessary to compete in real motor sports is beyond the vast majority of motor sports enthusiasts, but not being able to come up with a five figure budget doesnt necessarily mean that one cannot enjoy the thrill of racing.

With the advancements in PC simulation technology and 3D graphics rendering alongside the ever more powerful hardware components is creating an environment that is becoming closer and closer to reality! Titles such as Formula 1 Challenge, Colin McRae Rally 4 and Nascar are state of the art simulations of motor sports at its highest level.

Team AVRR specialises in bringing together the information, resources and support necessary to allow the average and advanced PC user to experience aspects of Motor Sports seemingly impossible a few short years ago. Team AVRR stands for:-

•  Motor Sports education, in particuar PC racing simulations. Including hardware requirements, software recommendations, problem analysis, race setup advice etc.

•  Motor Sports Promotion through public awareness campaigns, demonstrations, and promotional activities

•  Specialist consultancy to private and Corporate entities in the field of PC Lan configuration, setup, and trouble shooting.

•  Lan activities and associated core Team AVRR membership.

Based in Melbourne the Team AVRR Group will actively follow promote and follow International trends related to Motor Sports and their application for the PC Race Simulation group. Team AVRR has been created and modelled to appeal to a wide range of demographics. Excellence in design, disemination of information, communication, administration and creative flair are the trade mark of the group including a strong, traditional service attitude to our customer base creating team loyalty, motivation and enthusiasm.

Team AVRR general guidelines:-

  1. Online Name: Please ensure that you use your real name in GTR2. This shows respect to your fellow racers and the team.

  2. Cheating: If you cheat, ever, you will be banned from Team AVRR. There are no exceptions. If you cheat on other games and our system/server detects it, you will be banned. If you have family or friends that use your computer, it is your responsibility to insure your machine is cheat free. We will not tolerate any cheating and you have been warned!

  3. Racing: Gaining respect comes from solid technique, based on racing. Good racing naturally comes from practice! You CANNOT do well in important races without practice. Practice helps you learn tracks and specific nuances of the various race cars that you will drive. Team AVRR memebers are expected to attend practice and race nights (currently EVERY Wendesday night) and we strongly encourage you to prepare one or more practice sessions and share your knowledge, setup advice with other team AVRR members.

  4. Team AVRR members are not eligable for permanent membership until they have been approved by the Team AVRR committee. Their details will not be updated to the official Team AVRR site until approval has been granted, they will also not be eligable for trophy selection until permanent status has been granted by AVRR. Rookie members will be notified in writing that their application for permanent membership has been approved by the Team AVRR committee and/or its representatives.
